WHO IS ANDREW?
Andrew was one of the first disciples Jesus called during His earthly ministry. The first chapter of John’s gospel recounts how Andrew learned who Jesus was—and then immediately found his brother, Simon Peter, and brought him to meet the Son of God. Today, you can do the same by praying for family members, friends, neighbours and co-workers who don’t know Jesus and then bringing them to hear the Gospel.
THE STORY OF "I AM ANDREW"
"During the preparations for Billy Graham's historic crusade in London 1954, the team heard about a local church that kept reaching people with the gospel. When Billy Graham and the team investigated, they learned that the the church held monthly events where members brought friends who did not know God. The team adopted this idea for the crusades and began the "I am Andrew" campaign. It encourages Christians who are planning a meeting to pray for loved ones and bring them with them."
HOW CAN I BECOME AN ANDREW
"Becoming Andrew begins in the heart - "Honor Christ the Lord, by giving him your trust with all your heart. And be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you, about the hope that fills you" (1 Peter 3:15). You can share this hope by praying first for your loved ones, who are far from God, then nurture the friendships with them, and finally inviting them to hear the gospel during the Festival of Hope in Essen."
